Jet2 cancels family holiday after passengers miss flight
A British family's holiday to Malaga was cancelled by Jet2 after the parents overslept and missed their original flight. Karen Cassidy and her husband, George Gale, missed their 7:00 a.m. flight on August 14 after failing to wake up to an alarm following a difficult night with their baby.
After booking replacement flights for later that day, the family arrived at their destination around midnight. Upon arrival, they discovered that Jet2 had cancelled their entire all-inclusive package deal at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. Jet2 reportedly informed the family that they could not reinstate the booking due to a ‘no-show policy.’
As a result of the cancellation, the family had to pay €350 to secure accommodation for the night.
