Jet2 passenger and booking disputes

Multiple incidents involving Jet2 have resulted in travel disruptions for families. In one instance at Rhodes Airport, a family was denied boarding after their six-year-old daughter vomited once during a flight delay. The airline stated that staff followed “standard health protocols” to mitigate risks to other passengers. The family was required to arrange their own alternative transport and accommodation.

In a separate incident, a British family traveling to Malaga had their all-inclusive package cancelled after they missed their initial flight due to oversleeping. Karen Cassidy and George Gale missed their 7:00 a.m. flight on August 14 after an infant kept them awake through the night. Although the couple purchased replacement flights at their own expense and arrived at their destination around midnight, they discovered that Jet2 had cancelled their entire package at 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.

Jet2 reportedly invoked a “no-show policy,” stating they acted in accordance with booking terms and conditions and could not reinstate the booking. The family faced significant financial losses, including €350 for immediate accommodation and total extra costs amounting to approximately 680,000 Hungarian forints.
