JetBlue introduces BlueFirst domestic first class and loyalty updates

JetBlue has announced the launch of BlueFirst, a new domestic first class product designed for regional and domestic routes. The service is scheduled to debut on December 8, 2026, with an inaugural flight connecting Boston Logan to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Following the debut, service will expand to include routes between Fort Lauderdale and New York's LaGuardia Airport.

The BlueFirst cabin features a two-by-two layout with seats offering seven additional inches of legroom compared to standard seating, personal screens with Bluetooth, and a "Mixologist Mode" for seat-side cocktail customization. On flights exceeding 899 miles, passengers receive the FirstFare service, which includes a main course, side dish, and dessert. The service offers three fare tiers—Base, Flex, and a premium option—providing varying levels of baggage allowance and flexibility.

In conjunction with the product launch, JetBlue is updating its TrueBlue loyalty program for 2027. Starting in February, Mosaic elite status members will be eligible for complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst. Additionally, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers will qualify for upgrades on certain tickets. The airline is also expanding its Premium Upgrade Certificates to allow redemption for either Mint or BlueFirst seating and updating its Perks You Pick program to offer more flexible reward selections.
