JetBlue launches BlueFirst domestic first-class service
JetBlue has launched BlueFirst, a new domestic first-class service available for booking on more than 30 routes. The premium option is designed for domestic flights that do not currently feature the airline’s lie-flat Mint business class.
The service officially debuts on December 8, 2026, with a flight connecting Boston and Fort Lauderdale. Following this, the service will expand to routes between Fort Lauderdale and New York’s LaGuardia Airport, with further expansion planned in the coming months. The rollout will eventually include markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.
BlueFirst seats offer up to seven inches of additional legroom compared to standard seats and feature a five-inch recline, Bluetooth-connected seatback screens, and enhanced food and beverage options. Passengers also receive Group 1 boarding and expedited security. The service includes tiered fare options, such as BlueFirst Base and a more flexible tier that allows for free seat selection and no change or cancellation fees.
