JetBlue unveils BlueFirst domestic first-class experience

JetBlue has announced the launch of BlueFirst, its first traditional domestic first-class cabin. The new service is part of the airline’s JetForward strategy and is intended for routes that do not currently feature the Mint business-class cabin.

Bookings for BlueFirst are expected to open this fall, with the first aircraft scheduled to debut by the end of the year. The new seating will feature a 2x2 configuration, utilizing T&N Flex foam developed by Tuft & Needle to provide enhanced comfort. Compared to the standard main cabin, the seats will offer approximately 12.7 cm (5 inches) of recline and up to 18.3 cm (7 inches) of additional legroom.

Technological upgrades include 13.3-inch seatback entertainment screens with Bluetooth connectivity, USB-A and USB-C ports, and 110-volt power outlets. Passengers will also have access to seatback ordering for meals and drinks, including a ‘Mixologist Mode’ for custom cocktails. On flights exceeding 899 miles, passengers will receive bento-style meal boxes containing an entrée, side, and dessert.
