JetBlue unveils BlueFirst domestic first-class service

Overview

JetBlue has officially announced the launch of BlueFirst, a new domestic first-class service scheduled to roll out this fall. Part of the airline’s ‘JetForward’ strategy, the service is intended for routes that do not currently feature the Mint business-class cabin. Bookings are expected to open this fall, with the first aircraft scheduled to debut by the end of the year.

The service will feature a two-by-two cabin configuration utilizing Tuft & Needle (T&N) Flex foam seating and 13.3-inch seatback screens. Technological upgrades include Bluetooth connectivity, USB-A and USB-C ports, and 110-volt power outlets. Passengers will receive five inches of recline and seven inches of additional legroom compared to the Main cabin.

Amenities include free high-speed Fly-Fi and seatback ordering for meals and drinks. On flights exceeding 899 miles, passengers will receive FirstFare bento-box style meals consisting of an entrée, side, and dessert. The seatback screens will also feature an interactive ‘Mixologist Mode’ for custom cocktails.

In conjunction with these product updates, JetBlue is continuing to expand its lounge presence. The BlueHouse lounge, which opened in Terminal 5 at JFK in late 2025, provides access to Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and passengers on eligible Mint fares. Other Mosaic tiers and JetBlue Plus or Business Card members may purchase access based on availability.
