Despite these concessions, the standoff continues as student leaders demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and the cancellation of the JSSC CGL examination. The government has rejected the CBI demand, proposing instead a judicial inquiry led by a retired High Court judge. Amid the deadlock, Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar accepted the resignations of three JPSC members—Ajita Bhattacharya, Anima Hansda, and Jamal Ahmed—following state recommendations. Protesters have announced a planned march to the Jharkhand Assembly on August 10.
