Jihostroj České Budějovice signs Ukrainian libero Oleksandr Boiko

The volleyball club Jihostroj České Budějovice has completed its roster for the 2026/27 season with the signing of Ukrainian libero Oleksandr Boiko. The 23-year-old player will replace Michael Kovařík.

Boiko arrives with a highly decorated career in the Ukrainian Superliga, having won four consecutive league titles with Prometey Dnipro and Epicentr-Podolyany Horodok. He was also named the best libero in the Ukrainian Superliga for the 2025/26 season.

An experienced international, Boiko has represented the Ukrainian national team in competitions such as the VNL 2025 and the 2024 Golden European League. He is expected to join the Czech club following his participation in the upcoming European Championship preparations.
