Jim Ross recovers following successful brain surgery
Wrestling commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has successfully undergone brain shunt surgery. Following the procedure on Wednesday, August 12, Ross shared a photo of his surgical scar on social media, noting, “The proof is in the pudding!”
Ross has faced several health challenges recently, including a significant fall and a month-long hospitalization in June. These issues have impacted his regular announcing duties with All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Regarding his professional future, Ross indicated that his contract with AEW is expected to expire later this month. He stated that he is leaving the renewal process to AEW leadership, noting, “If Tony Khan wants to keep me, he will. And if he doesn’t, then he won’t.”
