Jim Ross to Discharge from Hospital After Weeks of Recovery

WWE Hall of Famer and longtime commentator Jim Ross announced on X that he will be released from the hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, June 30, ending a several‑week stay. Ross said, "Going home this Tuesday!" and noted a recent phone conversation with longtime friend Steve Austin, adding that "Biz is picking up!"

The hospitalization followed a fall that kept Ross in the facility for more than three weeks. While he has not disclosed the specific medical reason, his recent health history includes skin cancer treatment in 2021, hip surgery in 2024, and a colon cancer battle announced in 2025. Ross has continued to update fans through his Grilling JR podcast, though new episodes were paused during his treatment. The discharge marks the latest step in his ongoing recovery and suggests a return to his commentary duties may be possible in the near future.
