Jim Ross to undergo brain procedure following shunt complications
WWE Hall of Famer and wrestling announcer Jim Ross is scheduled to undergo another brain procedure on Wednesday morning to address complications with a shunt. The shunt was originally implanted during surgery on August 12 to drain excess fluid from his brain following issues with balance and repeated falls.
Ross reported that while his surgical incision was healing, he had been experiencing increasingly severe headaches, some of which were intense enough to wake him during the night. He shared the news on X, requesting positive thoughts from fans as he prepares for the upcoming surgery.
In addition to these neurological concerns, Ross has been managing other health issues, including a mass on his kidney and lingering effects from cancer treatment. These ongoing medical challenges have impacted his professional availability, preventing him from traveling to AEW All In in London and requiring him to watch AEW All Out from home.
