Jim Ross to undergo brain surgery to address health issues
WWE Hall of Famer and commentator Jim Ross is scheduled to undergo brain surgery in Norman, Oklahoma, to address memory and balance issues. The 74-year-old revealed that the procedure involves drilling a hole in his skull to insert a shunt that will drain excess brain fluid into his stomach.
Ross noted that the surgery is necessary to improve his quality of life, following a recent 40-day hospital stay after passing out at his home. Despite the seriousness of the procedure, Ross expressed optimism, stating he expects a hospital stay of only one day.
Ross is currently under contract with AEW through the end of the month. He expressed hope regarding his ability to travel to London for AEW All In in late August and remains optimistic about continuing his broadcasting career, though his future with the company remains uncertain as his current contract nears expiration.
