Jim Ross, the 74-year-old WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator, has successfully undergone brain surgery to address complications following a previous procedure. The initial surgery involved the insertion of a shunt to drain excess fluid from his brain, which resulted in severe headaches, balance issues, and memory problems.

Following the recent procedure on October 7, 2026, reports from his podcast co-host, Conrad Thompson, indicated that the surgery was a success and that Ross was in recovery. In addition to his neurological health, doctors are currently investigating a kidney lesion and skin moles.
