Jindřichův Hradec Castle sees record summer tourism growth

The State Castle and Chateau in Jindřichův Hradec experienced a record-breaking summer season, seeing a nearly 16 percent year-on-year increase in visitors. During the holidays, the site welcomed 30,950 people compared to 26,697 in the previous year.

Several factors contributed to this growth, including popular night tours and the new exhibition ‘Veličenstvo před branami’ (Majesty Before the Gates). Jindřichův Hradec recorded the highest percentage increase in attendance among all state monuments in South Bohemia.

Other regional monuments also saw growth. The State Chateau in Dačice saw an increase of over 10 percent, and Landštejn Castle welcomed 24,380 visitors, up approximately 7 percent from last year. In contrast, the Červená Lhota chateau saw a slight decline, and attendance at the Třeboň chateau remained nearly unchanged.

Overall, South Bohemian state monuments attracted 373,964 visitors during the summer holidays, an increase of 13,667 compared to last year. Hluboká nad Vltavou remained the most visited monument in the region with 91,644 visitors, followed by Český Krumlov with 89,501.
