Jinko ESS supplies 722 MWh battery storage system for Indian renewable project

Jinko ESS, the energy‑storage arm of JinkoSolar, has delivered a 722 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for a large‑scale renewable‑energy base in India. The installation comprises 144 SunTera G2 liquid‑cooled units engineered to operate in extreme conditions – temperatures up to 55 °C, humidity up to 99 %, dust and intense sunlight – and features an IP55‑rated enclosure, anti‑corrosion protection and multi‑layer safety mechanisms.

The system is intended to enhance grid stability, enable clean‑energy dispatch, manage peak‑load demand and improve the integration of a high share of renewable generation. Jinko ESS also provides an AI‑enabled Energy Management System that offers real‑time monitoring, load forecasting and optimized charge‑discharge strategies, supporting long‑term asset performance. "Large‑scale renewable energy bases are placing higher requirements on energy storage systems," said Anita Li, Vice President of Jinko ESS.

Beyond equipment delivery, Jinko ESS offers full‑lifecycle services including design, integration, commissioning support and ongoing operations and maintenance, emphasizing reliable performance and long‑term returns for the project owner.
