J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat orders intensified anti‑terror operations across Kashmir

Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat chaired a high‑level security review meeting in Srinagar, attended by senior officers from the Army, Central Armed Police Forces and intelligence agencies. He directed the agencies to intensify anti‑terror operations throughout Kashmir, maintain sustained pressure on terror networks, and take preventive legal action against anti‑national elements.

The DGP emphasized close inter‑agency coordination, real‑time intelligence sharing, and joint operational planning. He called for strengthened area‑domination exercises, increased night patrols, enhanced surveillance, and the establishment of effective checkpoints at sensitive locations. Special attention was given to securing the annual Amarnath Yatra, with heightened vigilance along vulnerable stretches of the pilgrimage route, transit points, national highways and railway infrastructure. Public awareness campaigns for pilgrims were also ordered.
