JKMax recalls 195,000 heated blankets sold on Amazon

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of approximately 195,000 JKMax heated blankets and pads sold on Amazon.com. The recall follows reports that the internal heating elements can overheat, posing significant fire risks and burn hazards.

JKMax reported 577 incidents involving the products smoking, melting, or burning. Of these, 53 reports involved burn injuries. The affected items were sold online between September 2022 and July 2026 in various colors, including blue, gray, brown, and red.

The specific model numbers included in the recall are JKMAX-002, JKMAX-7284B, JKMAX-6284B, JKMAX-10090B, and JKMAX-8490B. Consumers can identify these numbers on the remote control or the product packaging label. Regulators advise customers to stop using the products immediately and contact JKMax for a full refund.
