JMAS finishes road repair on Mayas Street in Ciudad Juárez
The Junta Municipal de Agua y Saneamiento (JMAS) in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, completed the final stage of bacheo (pothole repair) on Mayas Street in the Aztecas neighborhood. The work followed the replacement of a 54‑metre section of 10‑inch sanitary pipe that had collapsed due to accumulated rain and sewage water.
Supervisor Alejandro Oruña said the crew poured MR‑42 concrete with a three‑day accelerator, compacted a hydraulic base layer and finished the concrete pour to restore the roadway for vehicular traffic. The municipality thanked residents for their patience during the temporary disruptions.
The repair aims to re‑establish normal traffic flow and maintain the city's drainage infrastructure.
