Municipalities implement various infrastructure and public works projects
Various municipal governments in Mexico and surrounding regions are implementing infrastructure projects to improve public services. In Ciudad Juárez, the Junta Central de Agua y Saneamiento (JCAS) and JMAS Juárez completed a 26.1 million peso hydraulic project on Apolo Street. This work, which addressed a 40-year flooding issue in the Olimpia, Minerva, and Stockmeyer neighborhoods, involved replacing the Apolo collector with 2.7 kilometers of PVC pipe and constructing rainwater catchment systems. These improvements have reduced flood depths from 70 centimeters to approximately 5 centimeters.
Other regional updates include the rehabilitation of the Antiguo Camino Nacional in San Juan del Río with a 6.7 million peso investment, and the deployment of a mobile concrete plant in Naucalpan to accelerate street reconstruction. In Tlalnepantla, authorities inaugurated the repaving of José María Pino Suárez street using hydraulic concrete. Additionally, maintenance work is scheduled for the Tarento sewage pumping plant in Ciudad Juárez to reinforce wastewater management, and drainage renovations are underway in Jesús María and Torreón.
In La Cruz, new paving works have been delivered to improve mobility between the Sultana del Mayo sector and the El Madrigal neighborhood, while El Mante has begun rehabilitating sewage and water networks in the Campesina colony.
