Johan Ghazali defeats Diego Paez in Muay Thai rematch

Johan Ghazali secured a unanimous decision victory over Diego Paez in a flyweight Muay Thai rematch at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on October 16. The win, which served as the co-main event of ONE Championship’s The Inner Circle 35, ends a two-fight losing streak for the 19-year-old Malaysian-American fighter.

Ghazali attributed his improved performance to increased composure and precision, noting that he felt he was able to engage on his own terms rather than reacting to Paez’s high-output style. Despite the victory, Ghazali expressed that while he has improved, he is not yet entirely satisfied with his performance.

Following the bout, Ghazali expressed interest in a rematch with Ramadan Ondash, citing dissatisfaction with the result of their previous July meeting, which was recorded as a split-decision victory for Ondash.
