Johann Zarco confirms positive physical condition after Aragon GP return
Johann Zarco has expressed confidence in his physical condition following his return to competition at the Aragon Grand Prix. Competing for LCR Honda, the French rider secured points in both races, marking a successful comeback three months after a severe crash in Barcelona that resulted in meniscus and tibia fractures, as well as ligament damage.
Zarco reported experiencing no significant pain, though he noted some minor cramping. He mentioned that while he must remain cautious due to his recovering knee, he did not experience the swelling he had feared. He was able to maintain a strong pace, even setting his fastest lap toward the end of the main race.
During the event, Zarco also recounted a close call involving Francesco Bagnaia. While entering the long-lap zone, Zarco witnessed Bagnaia fall, forcing him to slow down to avoid contact with the fallen rider. Despite this moment, Zarco remained focused on his performance and his recovery.
