Joheirry Mola crowned Miss World 2026 in Vietnam

Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic was crowned Miss World 2026 during the 73rd edition of the pageant held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. Mola, a 24-year-old educator and journalist, is the second Dominican woman to win the title, following Mariasela Álvarez in 1982. Her platform, ‘Voices of Tomorrow,’ focuses on providing English language education to underserved youth.

The final results saw Elisabeth Reynés of Spain finish as the first runner-up, while Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia took third place. Other notable participants included Romanda Hombir of South Africa, who was crowned Miss World Africa 2026 after reaching the Top 6, and Indira Ampiot of France, who reached the Top 12.

During the event, Argentina's representative, Alina Luz Akselrad, drew significant media attention for wearing a custom dress featuring images of footballer Lionel Messi. The ceremony marked the 75th anniversary of the Miss World organization.
