Joheirry Mola Dominguez crowned Miss World 2026

Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026 at the 73rd annual competition held in Nha Trang, Vietnam. This victory marks the first time a representative from the Dominican Republic has won the title in 44 years, following Mariasela Álvarez in 1982.

During the pageant, Botswana’s Ruth Thomas gained significant attention for her bespoke diamond-encrusted gown. Designed by Delayna Scott and featuring diamonds from Lucara Botswana and KGK Diamond Botswana, the dress incorporated 60 natural diamonds to symbolize Botswana’s 60 years of independence. The gown’s blue color scheme and silver detailing were intended to represent the nation’s growth and mineral heritage.
