John Cena Promotes Action-Comedy 'Matchbox' at Comic-Con

Apple TV+ unveiled the first trailer for the action‑comedy film *Matchbox* at the San Diego Comic‑Con panel on July 25. The movie stars John Cena as Sean, an undercover CIA operative who drags his longtime friends into a global adventure to locate a missing nuclear warhead. Co‑stars include Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris and Arturo Castro. Director Sam Hargrave, known for *Extraction*, emphasized that Cena performed many of his own stunts, saying on stage, "I hate ledges. I hate heights. I hate cheating death."

*Matchbox* is based on Mattel’s line of Matchbox toy cars and is scheduled for release on October 9. The trailer shows Cena and the ensemble battling the prospect of a nuclear bomb while recalling childhood play with the miniature vehicles.
