Wild Horse Nine trailer released for Martin McDonagh film

New trailers and posters have been released for “Wild Horse Nine”, a dark comedy film written and directed by Martin McDonagh. The film stars John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell as CIA agents Chris and Lee.

Set in 1973 shortly before the Chilean coup d'état, the plot follows the two agents as they are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island. While navigating the island's iconic moai statues, the characters must deal with personal dark pasts, present conspiracies, and a connection between Chris and two rebellious students played by Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas.

Following its premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where John Malkovich won the Coppa Volpi for Best Actor, the film is scheduled for theatrical release in various regions in November 2026. The ensemble cast also includes Steve Buscemi, Parker Posey, and Tom Waits.
