Johor UMNO leaders warn of PH bribery tactics ahead of state election

UMNO officials in Johor warned that Pakatan Harapan (PH) is using misleading tactics in the upcoming state election. Secretary‑General Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said PH continues to campaign on the release of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, falsely suggesting a state‑level victory would free him. He stressed that liberation can only come through a royal pardon, not an election, adding, “Jangan anggap rakyat Johor mudah diperbodohkan.”

Datuk Mohd Razlan Rafii accused PH of offering cash incentives, displaying the national coat‑of‑arms, and using welfare lists to sway voters, urging the public to reject any “habuan” (bribery) and to vote based on the parties’ records and policies. He warned, “Jangan kerana kesempitan hidup, maruah dan masa depan anak‑anak Johor dijadikan taruhan.” Both leaders called for a factual, issue‑based campaign rather than sentiment‑driven rhetoric.
