Joint Task Force arrests drug dealer and rescues hostages in Nigeria
The Joint Task Force North West has conducted several security operations in Nigeria, resulting in the arrest of a suspected drug dealer and the rescue of kidnapped individuals.
On September 12, troops conducting a stop-and-search operation along the Kaduna–Birnin Gwari road intercepted a suspect, Yohana Musa, allegedly in possession of a large quantity of illicit drugs. The suspect and the recovered substances were taken into custody for investigation.
In a separate operation on September 13 in Sokoto State, troops responded to a distress call following a terrorist attack on the Unguwan Lalle community in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area. The military engaged the attackers with firepower, forcing them to withdraw and allowing troops to rescue two kidnapped victims.
