Jollibee to Open Downtown San Francisco Restaurant on July 31
Filipino fast‑food chain Jollibee will open its first downtown San Francisco restaurant at 934 Market Street on July 31. The site, a former Payless ShoeSource storefront near Hallidie Plaza and the Powell Street BART station, will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offer dine‑in, to‑go and digital ordering.
The opening follows a six‑year development process that began in 2020 and required historic‑preservation review, utility approvals and a recent noise‑compliance fix. Jollibee’s previous San Francisco location closed in 2011. The new outlet is part of a broader plan to add 15 Northern California stores over the next eight years, expanding the chain’s presence in the Bay Area.
