Jonathan Andic's defense seeks testimony from Miquel Roca in Isak Andic investigation
The legal defense for Jonathan Andic has requested that lawyer and former politician Miquel Roca Junyent testify in the investigation into the death of Mango founder Isak Andic. The investigation is examining the potential homicide of Isak Andic, who died on December 14, 2024, in Montserrat.
Prosecutors have suggested a motive involving a disagreement over the creation of a philanthropic foundation and its impact on family inheritance. The defense aims to use the testimony of Miquel Roca and his son, Joan Roca, to clarify the structural aspects of the foundation Isak Andic had commissioned. They intend to demonstrate that the project was a planned endeavor by the founder and to refute the theory that its establishment was intended to alter the inheritance expectations of his children.
In addition to the Roca family, the defense has proposed other witnesses, including a notary who handled Isak Andic’s annual wills and the financial director of the family’s holding company, to counter the hypothesis of a criminal motive related to inheritance disputes.
