João Pessoa cultural chief Marcus Alves joins national culture commission

Marcus Alves, executive director of the Fundação Cultural de João Pessoa (Funjope) and president of the National Forum of Cultural Secretaries and Managers, was sworn in as a member of the Tripartite Inter‑Managers Commission of the National Culture System (CIT‑SNC). He highlighted the commission as a historic step for Brazil’s cultural policy, emphasizing its role in strengthening the National Culture System and fostering dialogue among federal, state and municipal authorities.

In a related initiative, Funjope announced a workshop with choreographer Caio Nunes, open to anyone interested in dance. The session, scheduled for 17 May at the Conventinho, aims to provide training and qualification in the performing arts, continuing the foundation’s program of cultural capacity‑building.
