João Pessoa hosts a series of cultural, tech and trade events in July 2026

The city of João Pessoa is staging several concurrent events in late June and early July 2026. The municipal cultural program "São João Multicultural" will present 12 performers across four neighborhood venues – Mangabeira, Funcionários, Bairro das Indústrias and Alto do Mateus – on June 27‑28, featuring forró, regional music and local artists.

From July 8‑10 the 21st IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting (BMSB 2026) will be held at the Hotel Manaíra. The three‑day conference will draw researchers, industry professionals and government representatives to discuss TV 3.0, AI in media, 5G/6G, streaming, IoT, smart cities and humanitarian technology.

The 31st Multifeira Brasil Mostra Brasil fair will open July 3‑12 at the João Pessoa Convention Center. Organisers expect more than 100,000 visitors and nearly a thousand jobs, with free shuttle service from the CICC to Mangabeira Shopping.

The 10th Festival do Milho, organized by the municipal Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Urbano and the Central de Comercialização da Agricultura Familiar (Cecaf), concluded with sales of 780,000 corn cobs and total revenue of R$1 million, reinforcing its role in supporting family farms across Paraíba.
