João Pessoa conducts urban maintenance in 55 neighborhoods

The Infrastructure Secretariat of João Pessoa (Seinfra) is conducting extensive maintenance across 55 neighborhoods in the capital. The operations include road repairs through pothole patching, public lighting maintenance, and drainage network improvements, such as cleaning and unblocking galleries.

Additionally, the Municipal Urban Cleaning Authority (Emlur) is intensifying conservation efforts, particularly in the central region. Emlur teams are working on the staircase connecting Avenida General Osório and Rua da Areia to improve pedestrian mobility and safety. Other areas receiving daily cleaning and conservation services include Ipês, Jardim Aeroclube, Torre, and the Bancários corridor. Emlur superintendent Ricardo Veloso stated that the municipal administration, led by Mayor Leo Bezerra, is focused on recovering public spaces and mitigating irregular waste disposal points.
