João Pessoa implements mobile app for infrastructure maintenance requests

The City Hall of João Pessoa is encouraging residents to use the ‘João Pessoa na Palma da Mão’ mobile application to request urban maintenance services. Managed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra), the app allows citizens to report issues such as potholes, burnt-out street lamps, damaged lighting fixtures, and the need for drainage gallery maintenance.

Available for both Android and iOS, the tool is designed to streamline requests and eliminate the need for in-person visits to service centers. The data collected through the app also assists Seinfra in planning its operational routes. Ongoing maintenance efforts include daily pothole repair operations across dozens of neighborhoods and continuous work on the city's drainage network, including the cleaning and unblocking of storm drains.
