João Pessoa hosts immersive Pedro Américo exhibition
An immersive exhibition celebrating the life and work of artist Pedro Américo is currently open to the public at Espaço Luzzco in João Pessoa. The project, organized by the João Pessoa City Hall through the Secretariat of Science and Technology in partnership with Inovatec-JP, utilizes artificial intelligence and projection technology to engage visitors.
The exhibition is divided into four distinct spaces. It features a chronology of the artist's life and uses AI-generated representations of Américo to guide the experience. Educational projections detail his techniques and the production history of his most famous work, ‘Independência ou Morte!’ (1888).
Coordinated by Professor Carlos Dowling, the initiative aims to promote research, innovation, and education by providing a modern way for students and the general public to connect with the legacy of the Paraíba-born artist.
