João Pessoa Mayor distributes uniforms to beach workers

Mayor Leo Bezerra of João Pessoa has distributed uniforms, identification badges, and protection kits to 134 workers operating along the Cabo Branco and Tambaú beaches. This initiative is part of a Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) established between the City Hall and the Public Ministry of Paraíba (MPPB).

The program aims to formalize beach commerce, improve working conditions, and organize public spaces to enhance the experience for residents and tourists. In addition to the equipment, the city is offering training courses in professional skills and financial management to help these workers prosper.

Urban development officials noted that the uniforms will also assist municipal inspectors in verifying compliance with local regulations. The city administration plans to extend similar dialogue and organizational efforts to other regions, starting with the city center.
