João Pessoa reinforces vaccination against respiratory syndromes

The João Pessoa City Hall is intensifying efforts to protect the population against respiratory syndromes by reinforcing vaccination programs for Covid-19 and Influenza.

Influenza vaccines are available to the general public from six months of age, depending on dose availability. To facilitate access, the city has deployed a network of vaccination sites, including Family Health Units (USFs), Municipal Polyclinics, the Immunization Center, and five strategic mobile points.

Covid-19 vaccination continues through the Municipal Health Network. While children from six months of age can be immunized, the strategy for those aged five and older prioritizes high-risk groups. These include individuals aged 60 or older, pregnant women, healthcare workers, immunocompromised people, and those with permanent disabilities, following Ministry of Health guidelines.
