João Pessoa renovates Centro Comercial de Passagem after fire

The João Pessoa City Hall, through its Infrastructure Secretariat (Seinfra), is conducting structural renovations at the Centro Comercial de Passagem (CCP) following a fire in late August. The works include replacing damaged roof tiles, repairing support pillar structures, substituting trusses, and reconstructing sidewalks and internal flooring.

The project aims to improve safety and comfort for merchants and customers, with an estimated completion time of 20 business days. In response to the fire, the city also established a specific credit line through the ‘Eu Posso’ program to assist affected local merchants.
