João Pessoa municipal government intensifies urban maintenance and public services

The City of João Pessoa is conducting extensive urban maintenance operations across various sectors. The Secretariat of Infrastructure (Seinfra) is performing road repairs, public lighting maintenance, and drainage cleaning in 44 neighborhoods. Simultaneously, the Secretariat of Urban Development (Sedurb) is managing tree pruning services, handling approximately 600 requests monthly to ensure public safety and preserve the city's 300,000 trees.

Urban cleaning efforts are also underway through the ‘Operação Cidade Bem Cuidada’, led by Emlur, which has already removed 695 tons of debris and pruning waste from several localities. Additionally, the Secretariat of Urban Services and Zeladoria (Sesuz) is maintaining over 200 squares and gardens throughout the capital.

To celebrate Civil Servant Day, the municipal administration has organized special activities for employees at the Municipal Administrative Center. The city has also rescheduled the optional holiday for civil servants to Friday, October 30, creating a long weekend.
