João Pessoa's Celest Announces Classified Candidates and Opens Enrollment for Free Language Courses
The Centro Escolar Municipal de Línguas Estrangeiras (Celest) in João Pessoa released on Monday the nominal list of 1,025 candidates selected for its free language courses in English, Spanish, French, German and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) out of 3,418 applicants. Director Jessica Holanda said the slots were allocated in order of registration, and enrollment for level‑up courses began on Tuesday, 21 May.
Enrollment for municipal school students (grades 6‑9) will start on Thursday, 23 May, offering 375 places. The first phase also provides 550 adult slots at the main Celest campus on Av. Epitácio Pessoa, plus an additional 100 places at the new Celest Sul unit in Mangabeira, located within the Cemapi educational center. Applicants must present identification, birth certificate, proof of residence, school documents and a 3×4 cm photo.
