João Pessoa's Celest releases candidate list and opens enrollment for free language courses
The Centro Escolar Municipal de Línguas Estrangeiras (Celest) in João Pessoa announced the results of its selection process for free language courses. Out of 3,418 applicants, 1,025 candidates were approved for courses in English, Spanish, French, German and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). The first‑round offering includes 550 slots for adult learners and 100 additional slots at the new Celest Sul unit located at the Cemapi campus.
Enrollment for the approved adult candidates begins on Tuesday, 21 July, while municipal school students (grades 6‑9) have 375 places available and can register in person from Thursday, 23 July, between 8 am‑12 pm and 2 pm‑6 pm. Required documents include CPF, identity, birth certificate, proof of residence and school enrollment, plus a 3×4 cm photo. The centre is situated at Avenida Epitácio Pessoa, 1,840, in the Expedicionários neighbourhood.
