Jordan army thwarts Iranian missile launch, no casualties reported

The Jordanian armed forces announced on Thursday that they successfully intercepted five missiles launched from Iran, preventing any injuries or damage on Jordanian territory. The military said the interception was carried out with efficiency and professionalism.

Jordan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister for expatriates, Aymen Al‑Safadi, spoke by phone with Kuwait’s foreign minister, Sheikh Jarah Al‑Ahmad Al‑Sabah, reaffirming bilateral coordination and condemning the Iranian attack on Jordan, Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation Council states. The ministers also called for the continuation of the U.S.–Iran cease‑fire and a comprehensive solution to regional tensions, while denouncing recent Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank.
