Jordan Bardella expands European far‑right ties and revamps Instagram ahead of 2027 French election
French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella is modernising his social‑media presence, shifting his Instagram account in 2026 toward short, confrontational reels that emphasise a presidential narrative and aim to attract younger audiences. The new format replaces earlier photo‑centric posts with staged clashes and lifestyle snippets that serve as a gateway to his political messaging.
At the same time, Bardella is on an intensive European outreach tour. On Thursday he visited Brussels at the invitation of the Flemish‑right party Vlaams Belang, addressed the Flemish Parliament and held a press conference with Vlaams Belang leader Tom Van Grieken. The visit follows recent meetings with far‑right figures in Portugal and Italy and includes contacts with foreign ministries in the United States, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Germany. Belgian civil‑rights groups plan protests against his appearance, warning that the event normalises extremist politics.
