Jordan Bardella’s popularity surges as RN eyes presidential candidate amid Marine Le Pen court case

Jordan Bardella, the president of France’s National Rally (RN), has reached a record 40 % adhesion rating in an Odoxa poll, doubling his 2022 level and making him the most popular French politician according to the June survey. His support remains high even as the Paris Court of Appeal is set to rule on July 7 on Marine Le Pen’s eligibility for the 2027 presidential election, following a conviction that could render her ineligible for five years.

RN deputy Jean‑Philippe Tanguy dismissed any political difference between Bardella and Le Pen, calling the party’s leadership “a single doctrine” and asserting Le Pen’s innocence. He added that the justice system should treat her like any other citizen, while the party appears prepared for a “Plan B” candidacy if the court bars her from running.
