Jordan U15 national team completes preparations for FIFA World Cup
The Jordan national under-15 football team has concluded its preparatory training camp in Amman, featuring friendly matches against Palestine. Under the leadership of coach Mohammed Abdul Raouf, the team secured two wins (2-1 and 2-0) and recorded two draws (2-2 and 0-0) during the camp. The training was designed to simulate the high-frequency match schedule of the upcoming tournament.
The squad, consisting of 14 players, is scheduled to depart for Azerbaijan this Wednesday to participate in the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup and festival. The tournament, which runs from October 22 to 31, utilizes an 8x8 format. Jordan is set to begin its campaign against Cyprus on October 24, followed by matches against Nigeria, South Sudan, Pakistan, and Gambia.
This new FIFA initiative invites participation from 211 national associations, aiming to bring together over 4,000 young players for a global football festival.
