Arab Bank Group Posts $571 Million Net Profit in H1 2026

Arab Bank Group reported a net profit after tax of $570.9 million for the first half of 2026, a 7 % increase over the same period a year earlier. The Group’s total equity stood at $13.5 billion and assets grew 7 % to $80.3 billion. Loans rose 6 % to $42.1 billion and deposits increased 6 % to $58.8 billion, with a loan‑to‑deposit ratio of 72 % and credit provisions exceeding 100 % of non‑performing loans. Capital adequacy under Basel III reached 17.3 %, well above the regulatory minimum.

Chairman Sabih Masri said the results demonstrate the strength of the bank’s strategy and its ability to navigate regional and global uncertainty, while emphasizing continued vigilance on regional developments. Chief Executive Officer Randa Sadik highlighted a 3 % rise in total revenue, robust growth in non‑funded income, and the Group’s focus on liquidity, asset quality and sustainable shareholder returns. The bank also announced strategic expansions, including the re‑activation of operations in Syria, the launch of an Islamic banking window in Algeria, further development of its franchise in Iraq, and the strengthening of wealth‑management services through Arab Bank Switzerland.
