Lidl-Trek announces major signings of Jordi Meeus and Kasia Niewiadoma

Lidl-Trek has announced two major signings to strengthen both its men’s and women’s professional cycling rosters.

Belgian sprinter Jordi Meeus will join the team starting in 2027, signing a contract that runs through the end of 2028. Moving from Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, the 27-year-old 2023 Tour de France Champs-Élysées winner is expected to bolster the sprint train, specifically serving as a lead-out for Jonathan Milan while also pursuing opportunities in one-day classics.

In the women’s division, Lidl-Trek has secured Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. The Polish rider, a 2024 Tour de France Femmes winner and recent World Championship silver medalist, will join the squad in 2027 through 2028. After nine years with Canyon-Sram, Niewiadoma-Phinney will transition to a leadership role within the team, aiming for general classification successes in major stage races.
