Jorge Ferraresi touted as leading candidate for Buenos Aires governor

Peronist councilor Ariel Burtoli of the Movimiento Derecho al Futuro praised former Avellaneda mayor Jorge Ferraresi, saying his management experience would benefit the province and support the Axel Kicillof‑aligned faction. Burtoli also warned against internal Peronist splits and criticised opposition to Governor Milei.

Businessman and Avellaneda Peronist leader Armando Bertolotto similarly highlighted Ferraresi’s record, noting the housing projects completed under his mayoralty and the unfinished Procrear units. He called Ferraresi “a great candidate” for the 2027 Buenos Aires governorship, while commenting on the broader economic challenges facing the country, such as reduced oil exports, fuel price hikes, and a slump in small‑business activity.

Both figures see Ferraresi’s candidacy as a way to present a unified Peronist alternative and strengthen the provincial political bloc ahead of the upcoming elections.
