Jorge Macri Open to 2027 Deal with La Libertad Avanza

Buenos Aires mayor Jorge Macri told Radio Rivadavia that relations with the libertarian coalition La Libertad Avanza are good and that he will not rule out an electoral agreement for the city's 2027 elections. He said any pact would be evaluated against the primary objective of preventing a return of Kirchnerism and the associated populist policies he claims left the country devastated with uncontrolled inflation.

Macri highlighted that the appointment of Diego Santilli as chief of staff has helped strengthen the ties between the PRO and the national administration. He warned that disorder and abandonment in the Greater Buenos Aires area could negatively impact the lifestyle of city residents, reinforcing his resolve to block a perceived regression to the past.
