Jorgos Barcokas signs three‑year extension with Olympiacos

Greek coach Jorgos Barcokas has extended his contract with the basketball club Olympiacos for another three years, keeping him with the team at least until the summer of 2029 (2028/29 season). The club highlighted his role in securing a second EuroLeague championship, achieved in the final tournament held in Athens in 2026, as well as multiple domestic titles – four Greek League championships (2022, 2023, 2025, 2026), three Greek Cups (2022‑2024) and four Greek Super Cups (2022‑2025). During his nine-season tenure Barcokas has amassed 306 games, 199 wins and 107 losses, the best success rate among Olympiacos coaches with at least 50 matches.

Barcokas said the extension fills him with joy and emotion, adding that Olympiacos is “more than a professional engagement – it is my team, my home and the longest journey of my career,” and thanked the club presidents for their long‑term trust.
