Violent robberies reported in La Plata, Mar del Plata, and José C. Paz
A series of violent robberies has been reported across different regions in Argentina. In La Plata, Judge Claudia Greco and her 24-year-old son were held captive in their home for approximately 90 minutes by three criminals. The assailants, who appeared to have prior knowledge of the judge, searched the residence for a safe and stole jewelry, cash, and electronic devices. This incident follows a similar assault at the same residence in 2017.
In Mar del Plata, an armed group intercepted a family as they were exiting their vehicle in the Las Colinas de Peralta Ramos neighborhood. Security footage captured the moment criminals approached the family, which included a young child, and fled in a white vehicle after the robbery. The case has been classified as aggravated robbery by a gang using firearms.
Additionally, in José C. Paz, a visually impaired young man was brutally attacked and robbed by a group of at least seven individuals while waiting for public transport. Video footage shows the group surrounding the victim and physically assaulting him before stealing his belongings. The footage has been handed over to the judiciary as evidence.
